Bernie Kent, J.D, CPA, PFS is among the distinguished individuals featured on a new list of Oakland University’s most recognizable alumni. Out of 100,000 Oakland University alumni, 42 individuals were deemed “Prominent Alumni” for having reached the pinnacle of their chosen careers or attained positions of influence or high visibility.
The individuals are grouped into six categories: Business and Non-Profit, Government and Law, Research and Academics, Health Care, Media, and Arts and Entertainment.

Bernie works with high-net-worth individuals and families on tax, investment and wealth management issues. Bernie has been recognized as one of the “Top 100 Wealth Advisors” in the United States by Worth Magazine. He’s written numerous books and articles on tax and financial planning and has been quoted often in Forbes, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Bernie received a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Oakland University and currently chairs the Oakland University Judaic Studies Community Committee.
