Schechter’s Associate Director Andrew Dean has earned his Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
The CAIA Association is best known for the CAIA Charter®, an internationally recognized finance credential and the gateway to a network of more than 9,000 alternative investment leaders in almost 90 countries.
According to the CAIA Association, while the current trajectory in the alternatives industry points to continued growth, it has become increasingly arduous to keep up with the ever-widening spectrum of alternative asset products, strategies, and the regulations surrounding them. By earning this credential, Andrew asserts himself as a vital asset in helping ensure Schechter remains a thought-leader in the alternative investment space.
Andrew achieved this designation in one year; passing his first exam in Fall 2017 and his final exam in Fall 2018. Each exam requires approximately 200 study hours, with a curriculum that covers Professional Standards and Ethics, Real Assets, Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Structured Products, Risk & Portfolio Management, Commodities, and Managed Futures.
