Approximately 100 hedge fund investors, high net worth investors, and family office representatives registered for a panel discussion to learn the intricacies of private placement life insurance. The event was held September 14th at the Edition Hotel in New York City.

Panelists included representatives of Lombard International Assurance (A Blackstone Company), SkyBridge Capital, and Schechter Wealth. Schechter Wealth Managing Director Aaron Hodari CFP®, CIMA®, and Wealth Advisor Megan Sandler brought a unique combination of hedge fund experience, advanced life insurance design, and tax planning to the discussion.

“As high net worth investors have continued to increase their exposure to alternative assets, they have recognized the tax inefficient nature of those assets,” said Hodari. “Private Placement Life Insurance and Annuities offer an attractive vehicle to own those assets in a tax efficient manner. The industry is growing rapidly.”
