We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented team player to contribute to the growth and profitability of our company by providing support to the Schechter Investment Advisors (“SIA”) Operations Team and Advisors. The Schechter Investment Advisors (“SIA”) Document Specialist will be responsible for:

Essential Job Functions

• Prepare paperwork for new accounts, transfers, money movements, alternative investments, and other administrative or client service documents as needed to assist the department
• Facilitate meeting processing deadlines related to alternative investments and their purchases, sales, capital calls, and returns of income or principal
• Open, close and maintain investment accounts
• Help Operations Team transfer client funds, process money movements for qualified and non-qualified accounts, and update/send out monthly and quarterly asset, performance, or tax information reports
• Maintain RMD list and track distribution status
• Identify issues requiring instant elevation to the Operations Manager, Investment Advisors, or Chief Compliance Officer
• Provide service to teammates, advisors, or clients professionally by responding timely to both regular and varied account-related inquiries via electronic means, written correspondence, telephone or in person
• Assist with overall SIA team workload, projects, compliance and firm initiatives
• Participate in best practices for firm procedures and compliant record-keeping
• Maintain the integrity of client database and electronic files (CRM and custodian records)
• Various other duties as assigned by the Investments Operations Manager


• Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• At least 3 years professional experience in financially oriented field is preferred (insurance, securities, corporate finance, banking)

Required Skills

• Strong computer skills with strength in MS Office Tools for creating client presentations and spreadsheets
• Strong intellectual curiosity for understanding complex financial products and legal/business concepts
• Strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to establish priorities and execute them with minimal assistance
• Exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, confident and professional manner
• Team and results oriented
• Discretion/confidentiality a must in this position
