Private Banking Associate (Premium Finance)

The Private Banking Associate excels at organization, prioritization, and attention to detail. This individual will:
• Interact with Schechter’s client and prospect base to process and approve custom credit loans for premium finance insurance transactions
• Support the insurance operations team on cases that require financing from the bank and manages a large volume of loan applications & renewals between our high net-worth clients and banking partners
• Be a liaison between our clients and banking partners to secure financing for insurance deals
• Interact, collaborate, and facilitate multiple loans at a time with our banking partners & clients with the goal to provide an excellent client experience from start to finish

Please note, the Private Banking Associate position is salaried (exempt) and with that, they will only be required to facilitate current incoming deals from in-house Advisors and handle existing renewals; they will not be seeking new loan business. This role is integral to the efficiency of the team and has room to grow into a more expansive role.


• Work with our banking partners to secure loans for high net worth clients, particularly for large insurance transactions
• Prepare paperwork for lending transactions, refinances, annual loan renewals, and other clients service documents
• Gather and review all necessary financial and personal information on a client and prepare an
organized case to submit to the bank for loan approval
• Record all pertinent details for client loan & derivative transactions and maintain the  integrity of client database and electronic files
• Assist the insurance team guide and close large complex financed transactions from start to finish
• Provide timely professional responses to teammates, advisors, and clients regarding both regular and varied banking-related inquiries via electronic means, written correspondence, telephone or in-person
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new banking liaisons
• Participate in best practices for firm procedures and compliant record-keeping
• Various other duties as assigned by the Director of Insurance Operations


• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• 2-3 years of professional experience in a private banking role dealing with custom credit and high net-worth clients
• Familiarity dealing with custom credit utilizing insurance-based strategies (Premium Finance) is preferred


• Strong computer skills with strength in MS Office Tools for creating client presentations and spreadsheets
• Strong intellectual curiosity for understanding complex financial products and legal/business concepts
• Strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to establish priorities and execute them with minimal assistance
• Exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional manner
