Schechter Investment Advisors, LLC (“Schechter”), a Michigan-based independent financial advisory firm, announced today the addition of Paul Wehner, MBA, and Karen Scott, MBA as senior investment advisors. Wehner and Scott, along with their client service team, join Schechter as part of the firm’s recent majority asset acquisition of the Chicago-based RIA Coe Capital Management, LLC (“CCM”).
Wehner has more than two decades of experience providing high-net-worth individuals and families with investment research, portfolio design, and financial analysis. Previously, Wehner held senior roles with CCM and DLS Capital Management. Wehner obtained degrees from the University of California-Berkeley and from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
Scott brings over 27 years of investment management experience as an advisor and portfolio manager. Prior to joining Schechter, Scott was a senior advisor at CCM as well as managed trust and advisory portfolios at the First National Bank of Chicago (a predecessor bank to J.P Morgan). Scott received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and obtained an MBA from DePaul University.

Schechter’s asset acquisition of CCM helped its RIA reach $2 billion in AUM and extended the firm’s geographic footprint to Chicago. Wehner, Scott, and their client service team will remain in the Chicago area and continue operations from their Deerfield, IL office.
