Senior Insurance Operations Manager

Schechter is searching for a driven individual to oversee life insurance operations and ensure product & service quality. This role is responsible for managing a team of insurance operations professionals, building internal systems for expansion, prioritizing our pipeline with carriers and banks, and executing strategic initiatives. This Senior Insurance Operations Manager will play an extremely critical role in our current and future expansion as we scale our business. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee the design, underwriting, premium finance, and service units of our insurance operations function
  • Work closely with the Director of Insurance Operations to determine/execute the vision of the insurance operations function
  • Track and manage Schechter’s insurance pipeline prioritizing and accelerating cases as necessary
  • Work with internal and external insurance advisors; being a resource and finding solutions to ensure insurance cases are executed
  • Support the build-out and maintenance of a technology platform for Schechter’s insurance strategic partners as a competitive differentiator
  • Assist in building out Schechter’s custom CRM and automate workflows and processes that produce efficiencies and cost savings
  • Be an effective project manager and meet deadlines on Schechter’s growth initiatives
  • Provide extraordinary service to leadership, teammates, advisors, partners, and clients
  • Be the liaison between the insurance companies, banking partners and Schechter
  • Work with broker dealers to ensure transaction efficiencies and maximization of economics
  • Mentor a group of professionals. Leader and visionary

Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in placing large complex life insurance programs with a heavy knowledge of case management
  • 3+ years of managing a team of industry professionals with proven results
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of the life insurance industry with a heavy focus on operations
  • Knowledge of premium financing is a plus

  • Proven track record in managing a team of professionals in an extremely fast-paced growing environment
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently with advisors and external partners in placing complex cases for high net-worth clients
  • Willing to get his/her “hands dirty” and delegate non-critical items down to teammates to focus on the most important aspects of the insurance business
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional manner to colleagues, external partners, and internal advisors
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to establish priorities and execute them with minimal assistance
  • A hard worker and driven individual willing to put in the time and effort in building out our biggest division at Schechter
  • Proficient in technology with the ability to create easy to understand deliverables and analysis to Leadership
  • Strong intellectual curiosity for understanding complex solutions for high-net worth clients
  • Exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Team and results oriented
