Josh Schechter

Josh Schechter is an Associate Advisor at Schechter Investment Advisors. Josh supports clients with investment strategies, financial planning, and cash flow analysis along with income and estate tax guidance.

Josh joined Schechter in 2025, after practicing law for four years at the New York law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges, where he advised private equity clients and their portfolio companies on mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions.

Josh earned his JD / MBA from the NYU School of Law & NYU Stern School of Business, and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.

Originally from Birmingham Michigan, Josh now lives in New York City with his wife, Daphne. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, staying active, and cheering on Detroit and UofM sports teams.
