Marketing Director

Job Description 

The Marketing Director is responsible for promoting Schechter’s service offerings and capabilities by creating compelling, differentiated messaging, content and campaigns for all business units and creating marketing collateral for Business Development to use in B2C and B2B2C relationships. He/she will be the protector and promoter of the Schechter brand. The Director works closely with Business Development and other functions.

Key Responsibilities: 

•    Determine the vision for the marketing function/organization.  
•    Strategize, develop, and execute multi-channel, digital-first content 
•    Create materials used by Business Development team to communicate service value to prospective and existing clients, institutional partners, and strategic partners 
•    Recommend and execute tactics for social media presence applicable to target audiences 
•    Manage consistency and compliance of company's social media presence in cooperation with the respective internal departments 
•    Identify and manage external vendors 
•    Manage marketing teammate(s)
•    Develop, acquire, manage content, creation and placement of Podcasts, Videos, Articles, Cases, White papers 
•    Create and meet budgetary requirements 
•    Manage the company's online knowledge base related to products and services as needed by the Business Development function 
•    Leverage analytics to measure and optimize performance of marketing initiatives 
•    Other duties as assigned

Required experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities: 

•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and managing marketing strategy and execution 
•    Good understanding of the financial advisory and/or life insurance markets 
•    Knowledge of best practices in SEO & SEM, Marketing Automation, Lead Generation 
•    Experience with creating and managing a marketing budget 
•    Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills 
•    Strong presentation skills with ability to obtain buy-in from other teams and leadership 
•    Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment 
•    Working knowledge of marketing tools such as: Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Active Campaign, Word Press, Drupal, Photoshop, InDesign
•    Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite 
•    Experience managing a team of professionals
