David Mathewson joined Axcelus Financial in July 2020; currently serving as a Senior Business Development Associate in supporting our external distribution team with managing key relationships along with helping to structure. Mr. Mathewson leans on previous experience working within Private Banking at J.P. Morgan Chase, supporting the New York Tri-State Family Wealth group alongside introductory experience working at Vanguard Brokerage Services. A graduate of Temple University and current Philadelphia resident, he currently holds the Series 7 and 63 securities registrations alongside his PA Life & Health Insurance Licenses.
Nicholas W. Helfenstein
Millennium Management LLC
Nicholas W. Helfenstein helps lead the Global Platform Distribution effort for Millennium Management LLC. His responsibilities include initiating and developing platform client relationships on a global basis for Millennium. Before joining Millennium, Mr. Helfenstein worked for the Alternative Investments group at UBS Financial Services Inc. and was instrumental in successfully raising capital for various Hedge Fund, Private Equity, Real Estate, Managed Futures and Exchange Fund offerings. Prior to this position, Mr. Helfenstein was part of the UBS Wealth Management Associate Program. Mr. Helfenstein graduated from Boston College.

In his role as CIO, Aaron oversees investment strategy selection within our investment advisory business. He also works with high-net-worth families across the country on investment portfolio construction, asset allocation, and manager selection.
Prior to joining Schechter, Aaron worked at BlackRock Financial Management, in New York, in the Institutional Account Management group where he helped manage relationships with institutional investors including pension funds, foundations & endowments, and family offices. While there, he specialized in custom fixed-income solutions, commodities, and hedge funds. Aaron graduated from the University of Michigan, where he majored in economics and played lacrosse.
He is currently on the Board of Directors of BM Technologies, Inc and is a member of the CAIS Advisory Council.
