Andrew Dean

Andrew Dean is he Director of Finance & Accounting and Director of Insurance Operations at Schechter where he helps advise, coordinate, and manages a team of advanced insurance professionals. He oversees the Premium Finance, Insurance Design, Underwriting, and Servicing departments which makes up Schechter’s fully comprehensive insurance offering. He and his team advise and manage large complex insurance strategies, premium finance loans, and interest rate hedging strategies for the firm’s clients.

Andrew joined Schechter from Mercer in 2018 after five years of consulting experience for institutional clients in Detroit, MI, and Chicago, IL. While at Mercer, he worked with a multitude of global and Fortune 500 companies to implement best-in-class investment plans and employee benefit programs. He moved back to Michigan in 2018 from Chicago to leverage his extensive knowledge of our clients here at Schechter.

Andrew is a graduate of Oakland University with a BA in Mathematics and currently lives in Royal Oak, MI. He has earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and his Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation. In his free time, he enjoys being active and playing sports – particularly golf, soccer, and basketball.
